We have performed these types of surveys throughout the country for over
twelve years. We presently have ten GPS receivers and can routinely do very precise static control, real time kinematic (RTK), and GIS
(Geographic Information System) mapping. We have performed this kind of work for federal and local governments, private developers,
utility companies, and many other surveying/engineering firms. We have spent considerable time in developing procedures and techniques
to allow us to collect large amounts of very accurate mapping information at very low costs - so much so that our mapping acquisition
results are often cheaper than present day photogrammetric and digitizing methods and are 10 to 30 times more accurate. We stay current
with the changes in how GPS/GIS information can and should be used. In our present contract with Prince William County, VA, we are
establishing a High Accuracy Primary System of Monuments with six mile spacing, instead of a much denser, less accurate and much more
expensive network. Additional monumentation will be added when needed and can be partially funded by developer fees.
